Charter of Principles

The OCP Charter · v1.0

What we stand for. What we refuse. What we invite.

The Ontario Centrist Party is built on this short charter. We ask every member, candidate, and executive to read it, sign it, and live by it. Signatures are public.

01

We measure before we prescribe.

Every policy begins with a published measurement of what is actually true in Ontario.

02

We publish our methodology.

If we can’t explain how we got to a number, we don’t publish the number.

03

We are answerable.

Every commitment has a named owner, a target, and a date.

04

We refuse attack politics.

Our Civility Index is the standard we hold ourselves to.

05

We refuse anonymous donations.

Every donor is disclosed under Elections Ontario rules.

06

We refuse corporate or union donations.

Full stop. Elections Ontario prohibits them. We’d refuse them anyway.

07

We organize around Ontarians, not ideology.

Our five Identity Groups are the party’s doors, not its wings.

08

We invite correction.

When a voter, journalist, or researcher finds an error in our data, we publish the correction within seven days.

09

We serve Ontario first.

Where provincial policy conflicts with partisan federal alignment, Ontario wins.

10

We hand off cleanly.

Nothing in this charter is permanent. A future leadership will rewrite these. They must be better, or they must explain why not.

Bring a skill, not just a vote.
